MyUNIverseCT Login Instructions

MyUNIverseCT Login Instructions

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. January 5, 2008, UNI students, faculty and staff will use their CatID username and password for accessing MyUNIverseCT (WebCT).

1. Navigate on the Internet to http://elearning.uni.edu/

2. Click on the MyUNIverseCT link in the "Login to WebCT CE6" section.

3. Enter your Username (lowercase)

4. Enter your password.

NOTE: If you do not know what your CatID is contact the Computer Consulting Center (CCC) via email at its-consult@uni.edu or call 319-273-5555. The CCC, is located in Room 36 of the Innovative Teaching and Technology Center. Consultants are available to provide hands-on assistance during University business hours.

What is my Username?

Your username is the unique 3-8 character account name that identifies you as a member of the UNI community. For students, your username is the portion before the @ sign in your UNI email address. See CatID for more information.

What if I change my CatID User name?

The same day your new Username takes effect your authentication credentials are updated in MyUNIverseCT. There is no interruption of service during the update process.

If a student cannot login after changing their UNI Username , they should try to login with their newly requested UNI Username.

Passwords are not affected by User name changes.

What is my password?

Current user: If you have accessed UNI E-Mail or MyUNIverse previously, use the same password with myUNIverseCT (Blackboard CE6, aka WebCT).

**NOTE: Your CatID password expires every 90 days. If your CatID has expired, you will first need to login into MyUNIverse and change your password. Use that new password to login to myUNIverseCT (Blackboard CE6, aka WebCT).

New user: If you have never access UNI E-Mail or MyUNIverse, then your initial password is in the format mmdd$nnnnnn

mm is the first 2 letters of your birth month,
dd is the 2 digit number of your birth day and
nnnnnn is your 6 digit university ID# _______________

For security reasons, you are required to change your CatID password the first time you login. Your new password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one alpha, one numeric, and one special character. Additionally you must access MyUNIverse to successfully change your password.

1. Go to http://www.uni.edu

2. Click on MyUNIverse link in the banner

3. Enter your CatID username and CatID password

4. You will receive the prompt to select a new CatID password

What if I can't login?

Double check your username.

Check the spelling and capitalization of both your username and password. Try logging in again.

Usernames and password are case sensitive (ex.: Joe is not the same as joe).
